Job Description

Provide candidates with a clear understanding of responsibilities, team environment, and project scope.

Oceanic FPSO Solutions is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to lead marine engineering operations onboard an FPSO supporting offshore production activity in Singapore. This role is responsible for maintaining the technical reliability of the vessel, ensuring safe engine room operations, and supporting continuous production uptime in a demanding offshore environment.

The Chief Engineer will oversee planned maintenance, engine room watchkeeping, power generation systems, marine auxiliary equipment, fuel and lubrication systems, and technical coordination with production, marine, HSE, and maintenance teams. The role requires strong offshore leadership, hands-on FPSO operating experience, and the ability to manage technical priorities during routine operations, equipment troubleshooting, shutdown preparation, and emergency response situations.

Key responsibilities include supervising the engineering team, maintaining compliance with class and flag requirements, ensuring maintenance records are properly updated, coordinating spare parts and repair planning, supporting audits and inspections, and providing technical input for reliability improvement initiatives. The successful candidate should be confident working with power management systems, main engine control systems, planned maintenance systems, and offshore permit-to-work procedures.

Applicants should have relevant seagoing or offshore engineering experience, preferably with FPSO, FSO, offshore production, tanker, or floating production assets. A Certificate of Competency for Engine discipline, STCW certification, BOSIET or equivalent offshore safety training, and prior experience in rotational offshore assignments will be highly regarded. This position is suitable for a senior marine engineering professional who can lead calmly, communicate clearly, and maintain high standards of safety and operational discipline.
